PLEASE do something about no response to trade requests. It's killing the fun.

A suggested solution?
=====================

Create a new in game toggle called /trade or /tradepopup

If you type this in chat, then you are enabling/disabling a trade popup window that

1. Pauses your game if a trade request comes in.
2. Allows you to respond to that trade request in chat with whatever you want. e.g. "One moment" or "sold" or "busy" etc and close it.

If you type /trade in again, then it removes this feature and returns your game to normal trading so that you can rudely ignore requests as before :)

The trade website shows if you have this toggle on, can be sorted or filtered on those that have this toggled on.

This allows buyers and sellers to favour those that have purposefully set this option on, so these players are more eager to sell quickly than those with it turned off.

Thoughts?

Scroll down the list. You aren't getting a reply because 10 thousand other people are spamming the seller at the same time as you. Most of the time, the item you're asking about has already been sold to someone else.

I know a lot of this community struggles with this concept, so I'll say it very plainly in nice, small words:

Other people besides you exist in the world.

I've been playing PoE for over 10 years and I literally never have this problem, because I know that my time isn't worth saving 5-10%.

Very useless post with zero solution to an obvious problem. Players are not the ones at fault trying to buy something at its listed price. Duh other players are playing the game as well and trading.
The system works pretty good for anything valued at 1 or 2 exalt and above.

I have probably a 33% success rate. Which isn't bad, just means I message one, wait a minute, message another, etc.

I think you'll find that you have to be willing to overpay to buy low value items.

People aren't going to come out of maps for less than 1 ex. I personally am not going to list anything for less than 2.

You can filter in trade results by price. I filter anything less than 1 ex,, sometimes 5.
