Feedback: Specific changes to Omens

Hello GGG,

I have a fairly straight forward proposal for changing the behaviors of specific Omens that, frankly, have little to no value at the moment.

Problem:
Unfortunately, the Sinistral Exaltation, Dextral Exaltation and Greater Exaltation Omens really have very limited benefit in item crafting once a player establishes themselves into the economy unless we have means of more deterministically adding affixes outside of exalts (i.e. meta crafting or crafting bench style crafts). I believe the greatest use of them is currently in rolling waystones to increase reward while limiting difficulty.

Proposal:
Greater Exaltation Omen is the main culprit here as it doesn't really provide meaningful value over using 2 exalts which is of negligible value at the later stages of the game. This Omen should be changed to instead upgrade the tier of a random modifier when using an exalt, including the modifier that's added by the exalt. Additionally, the Omen should be made rarer than it currently is.

Benefits:
The benefit of this is to use an Omen for a chance to improve your modifiers on an item with the right affixes in lower values. It synergizes well with Orbs of Annulment which at the moment share an odd place with Chaos Orbs when using Omens for "fixing" bad affixes.

With this change comes an improved crafting gameplay loop of removing modifiers and trying to upgrade modifiers to make better items, which overall increases the value of crafting items off the ground. At the higher end players can engage in Omen heavy crafting to deterministically remove modifiers from prefixes or suffixes while targeting improvements on the other mod pool. At the same time, because it still relies on annulments to remove affixes, it likely won't allow a player to reliably obtain all top-tier affixes of their preference so random items are still important.

It also synergizes well with the other 2 Omens of exaltation because you can then use them to force exalt mods onto the prefix or suffix pool that you aren't trying to boost via the Omen of Greater Exaltation ultimately raising the value of these two Omens in crafting items as well.

Downsides:
Increased determinism and potential increased demand for Orbs of Annulment. There is potential for high end crafters to corner the market on these resources to the point that they aren't readily available for the average player.

Thank you for your consideration.

yea the greater exalt omen is **hilariously** irrelevant.

if it instead made high tier mods more likely or something, it would have use. as it stands, it is literally 'just another exalted orb'.
