Area level and Beyond Reality passive

Hey there.

I corrupt my maps, so when I have a boss zone, it already has irradiated due to Organized forces. At this point when inserting a level 16 waystone, I get a guaranteed level 81 area. Here I have the hope of 30% chance to get corruption and get the lvl 82, but sometimes I get it the other way around and the area is level 80 when I zone in. I don't really think I loose much here, but something is really not right if area level goes down randomly?

Anyone else noticed this?

Do you have Corrupted Infusion allocated?

Good catch on the Corrupted Infusion. It's too bad that that particular node doesn't "discard" the option for maps to be 1 tier lower.

Not necessarily saying that it should automatically be a must have node but if someone wants to farm max level maps AND they want to invest in their atlas they should get [significantly?] better results.

No I don't have it. There is nothing that should delevel my area but for some reason it did.
