Endgame bosses are underwhelming comparing to PoE 1 endgame bosses
Aside from those that are copied from PoE 1 like Olroth or The King in the mist (which are ok but not good enough to become a pinnacle boss), there're 2 new major endgame bosses in PoE 2 rn.
Xesht is not bad but the design of "Arbiter of ash" is pretty bad imo. This boss has multiple oneshot mechanics that happen one after another. This design heavily incentivize zhp builds that are made to oneshot bosses. Normally, this is only a softcore thing but when the boss has multiple mechanics that oneshot your character no matter how tanky you are, what's the point of investing so hard into defense when fighting them. Additionally, the boss difficulty system is also half cooked. There're not enough distictions between difficulties. The diff 1 boss is barely stronger than the diff 2 one and it has no new mechanics. Tldr: Current endgame bosses feels underwhelming comparing to PoE 1 Pinnacle bosses (Shaper, Elder, Maven, etc.) Last bumped on Jan 20, 2025, 9:48:34 AM
