Not getting 6 attempts for Arbiter of Ash

I just fought Arbiter and after 2 deaths i was kicked out with no portals remaining. I was under the impression that you get 6 tries before you are kicked out. Am i missing something?

Leaving the Map still forfeits your attempt so you'll still need to fight the boss with the build you walked into the Map with.

Even if you would have had revives remaining, there will still be 0 portals if you die and return to your hideout.

ah ok, i missed the part where the difficulty lowers the number of attempts. thanks.
