maybe posible bug with ALL Pincale Bosses ??

Dislaim: my DPS is ok'ish but I do not one-shot any boss
Getting a T4 Breach to below 50% takes maybe 10 seconds.
T1 Citadel of Flame Pinalce is below 50% after he get's out of my first freez.

But then the problem start!

- Overlapping one-shot mechanics at Citadel of Flames
- room filled with with all attacks the Breach boss has
Hand from the sky + smash Hands + ice Shards + shock Nova + he trys to shot the Fireball
ALL at the same time !!
How should I as melee avoid this?
How should I as melee do damage when he SPAMS his attacks this way?

Do all Pinacle Bosses BUG OUT if I freez them und get them to below 50% before they unfreez? Trying to activate every Phase/Attack I "skiped" as soon as they unfreez?

Tryed the Breach T4 several times now. For the last attamp I extra bought 4 * 2% movement speed Jewels (not cheep if you want good ones!) to be a bit faster. But it's simply imposible to evade ALL his attacks when they overlap simultan :(.

Hard is one thing ... but being unfair is another :(.
Each mechanic on it's own, maybe 2 are dangures enough.

Doing ALL at once I decalare a BUG and should never happen!

You, GGG, want PoE 2 to be more chalanging. YES, please! I fully support this.

But some things should NOT be paart of boss fights:

1) LUCK

Needing good timing and a minimum amount of gear where you can start to try a fight is good. Aka reaching a minimum DPS trashhold, minimum amount of defens trashhold, movement speed etc is fine and good.
But as soon as you reach this trashhold a boss fight should ALL about knowlage of mechanics.
Never "you need luck that mechanic X is placed well" or "you need luck that mechanic X and Y do not overlap". NEVER! This is not "hard", this is UNFAIR and NO FUN!

2) simple "spam" of mechanics outside of rage-mode

A fight does not become harder if you simply spam different mechanics and let them overlap outside of rage-mode. They once again become UNFAIR and so NO FUN!

And with my 50% boss life after the first freez I for sure passed the minimum-DPS. A freeze even with increasd duration is maybe 8 seconds. You want a fight to last 2-5 minutes at best.

If you use this overlapping to make fights harder you archive just two things:
One-Shot builds and/or (bug)abuse-builds which completly avoid any mechanic at all.

Did 2 more trys for Breach Pinacle boss and same conclusion :(.

Start up to 50% of his life everything is OK. But then he starts to spam his abilitys all at once. If I manage to evade them I can barly do 2-4 hits (not even enough to get my 3 power charges) beforfe he startas AGAIN spamming all his abilitys at once :(.

I thoght about it all leads to 3 posibilities:

a) I simply don't do enough DPS to kick him out of life before he does anything at aLL ... aka next time I copy one of the bug-abuse-insta-kill builds :(

b) I'm at a point where I do to much damage for the "intended fight speed". Aka
You GGG though the player does some attacks, he uses one ability, player does some attacks, he uses one ability.
But I do to much damage for this speed he fires instead of one attack both. Or better: I do so much damage that he trys to catch up with his intended attack-script and fires 5 abilities :(

c) I don't do enough damage and he enters rage mode ... which I can hardly belive!

Case a) would be TERRIBLE boss fight designe!!

Case b) I call BUG. Just trash all attacks I "skiped" but do not fire them all at once :(. Just frustrating and kills all motivation to try him again :(.

Case c) yea, can't belive it if the first 50% take only 8-10 seconds
Ice Strike until I can use the Bell, some more Ice Strike to get 3 charges for Charged Staff, attack until Bell is gone. His life is down to 50%.
But then I never get another chance to pop a combo becouse of this BUGGED fight! :(

Lost 5 Breachstones now. Will not try it again for now.
Same for all other Pinacle Bosses. Will not try them again until I read about fixes/changes in upcomming patch notes.

Alpha 1 finished. No reason to further play.
In the current state the Pinacles don't respect my time as it takes super long to farm 1500 splinters or get the 3 keys for the flame Citadel.

I have the exact same problem as you do.
I simply cant deal any damage in phase 2 because all you have to do is to dodge, dodge and dodge.
There is no window to attack when his stupid arm attack comes.
I have very good gear as well and also get him to like 50% in 10-15 seconds.
Then the shit starts where I have to run and dodge to survive.
Many times I get hit by the arm even when I am dodge rolling?
Not sure what is up with that shit.

I also used about 5-6 breachstones now on T4.
Managed in a lucky run to get him down to like 25%.
Disclaim: observations by watching YT videos from streamers doing the fights!

Watched some more videos about the Abiter Citadel of Flames and it's pritty clear:

first ability spam:
If someone like me reduce the Arbiter from 100% to 50% he trys to catch up and process all his abilitys that should have happened in this health reagions!
So if there should be an attack ever 5% for example he suddenly fires 10 attacks at once to catch up.

! Numbers are just examples !
I don't know the true trashold numbers.

Same seams true for all Pinacle bosses.

Problem does not appear under 2 circumstands:
- the player does intended amount of DPS and the Pinacle can correctly use his abilitys every intended % of health

- the player one-shots the pinacle

Solution: If a player "skips" an attack trashhold by for example freeze + doing enough damage -> just trash ANY attack the player "skipped"!

second distance for example the bomb savespots:
All videos I watched had been in standart 16:9 (1920x1080 or equivalent). And all Bombs had been visible at that screen resolution.

If you now play on ultra-wide 18:9 or 21:9 (3449x1449 or equivalent) this "max visible area" is taken into account for bomb placement. Leading to a MUCH bigger distance the player would have to travel to reach the next bomb!
Which is simply not posible :(.

Solution: remove the influence of screen resolution and set fixed max posible distances betwee subsecquent bombs as mentioned above.
Tier 1 pincale == 20% movement speed boots requiert
Tier 2 pincale == 25% movement speed boots requiert
Tier 3+4 pincale == 30% movement speed boots requiert
to be fast enough to travel from one bomb to the next one.

35% should not be counted as in solo selfefound it's extremly hard to get them and in trade decent once are very very expensive!


Remember GGG: you wanted hard fights ... not unfair fights!
