Endgame - Time expendature vs. Punishment

I feel like the campaign was just the bait. It's fun and really draws you in. The endgame is just to see how much punishment people will put up with before they quit. (Tin foil hat, maybe this is the "Last Starfighter"....)

I got my first attempt at the Arbiter yesterday, got my ass handed to me by the entire floor except a small lane being covered in fire, lost all my level 92 progress and now have days of farming to get another attempt.

I see a single beam of light in the fog and every path I take to it eventually just stops. I've resorted to just using T1 maps so I can get over to it in less than two weeks.

I feel like it won't be long before I'm one of the people just quitting. There are so many small things that just don't need to exist except either GGG isn't very detailed minded when coding or creating mechanics, or are actively screwing with the players.
I am now one of the people that decided to put the game down after failing pinnacle for the 2 times with all those hours of farming gone. The “hardcore” fans are now gonna come down from their high horses and call me a noob now I guess. GGG’s idea of fair gameplay is so screwed it’s funny. Hard content is fine, Elden Ring, Dark Souls are HARD but they’re fair. Die to the boss? You lose your soul, but you can do it over and over again to learn the mechanics of the boss until you can win. PoE2? I guess it’s time to go farm for another week then feel bad for ya.
This is the reason most people that are responsible with their time would left the game.

Maybe that’s what they want as I’ve seen so many comments saying this is a hardcore game for “hardcore” fan.
They are doing a stellar job of weeding out casual if this is what they want.

This is extremely funny because when Elden Rring was released alot of players screamed how hard and unfair it is. Enemies hitting you thru walls, imput reading, delayed attack, insane aggro ranges, insane monster density in some areas and - oh god - Malenia! Cheating boss who can heal itself by dealing damage and cancel stagger animations. But people learned how to deal with this eventually. Then Shadows of Erdtree came and everything started over again - it's too hard and unfair, every boss is like Malenia od steroids and final boss is unbeatable. And now people know how to dealt with these.

PoE 2 is on the same boat now. Yes it needs tuning but removing obstacles is not a good solution. And devs will add more portals to all pinnacle bosses. So it's already happening.

Yes, it was unexpected. But Elden Ring lets you try again. This is the whole point. Try, die, learn... repeat as long as you want or go somewhere esle to gear up.
What PoE feels right now is: Try, die. The end, no more tries, no learning, only spend more time catching up what you lost while trying.

Well if you "trying" waystones the you are doing it wrong. You should know which mods and tiers your build can handle. About pinnacle bosses - again: devs will add more portals to them over the time. Right now it's just Arbiter. I'm personaly waiting until then and just trying different builds in maps.
When i was nearing level 92 i remember, was about 60-70% and then the only thought i had was not to lose that progress, so i did meaningless t15 maps with no bonuses just to get safe exp. Doing some random trial for fun was unthinkable as i didnt want random death to make huge chunk of wasted time meaningless.
I think there are alot of people out there who simply are discouraged of doing proper content that game has to offer for the sole reason of losing their time invested.
As more and more content is being introduced, the more content is effectively being ignored at around ~level 90, at certain times, like nearing next level.

Before people are going reeee, i dont mean everyone but i do think theres many who thinks likewise.
Ofc i am trying waystones. I am trying to learn the game. And yes, i am prolly doing it wrong, because i dont want to follow guides. But its hard to learn anything if every risk is a setback. And if i am taking no risks, there is also no progress.
Sometimes, there are players who are not that brilliant or experinced, but want to play a game. Now the game just pushes all these players away.
