Can't get past Miller on Steam Deck

I can't get past the Miller on the Steam Deck.

Stopped counting my deaths and gave up.

Admittedly I had a hard enough time on PC, but *eventually* killed him. Although I honestly found the process way harder and much less fun than starting OG POE.

I've been hyped up for this game, but damn guys. Let me through the beginner gate before kicking my ass please.
