I love how the poster thinks GGG did this on purpose and are doing nothing to fix it.

try again every one. They just posted that they had a problem applying the hotfix correctly and have rectified that issue.
I logged out and back in and my totems are now working as expected, even in the hideout. |

It appears it's now fixed, restarted my game once again, totems now attack in hideout and seem to be functional.
