i have been playing poe for a while now and i have to say xp loss feels like a old mechanic that i do understand the reason behind it but with so much to do in the game i feel it really is not needed just makes the game feel old

Op doesn’t like xp loss. Told them to to stop dying, and the reason it’s there as well

Unless you think there is another counter to xp loss?

Yes, that's obvious. The point stands though - you find ways to progress further by learning more about the game and thus being prepared for more situations and thus dying less.

The point is, we ALL go through that. No one picked up POE2 and just zerg rushed everything and never died.

So yes, the purpose is to force you to learn the game instead of bypass most of it...which is funny, because that's what you're supposed to want to do anyway. :D
I agree. I do not like the XP loss and it quite often causes me to Alt F4 the game and come back after a day or two. And I loose a little more hope in humanity when I see comments from people being dicks because someone has a differing opinion than them. Just reading this thread... smh...
If I loose a chess match, my rating goes down.
Leveling is a ladder thing.

Anything above level 90 is a "nice to have" and doesn't restrict anything on your build. Majority of builds are beating the game with 1 button around level 85.

If you are dying too often, improve your build or run lower waystones/easier content.

Learn how to overcome obstacles rather than asking for them to be removed.
1) Screen-wide clearing is boring, a bot can play that way.
2) Player power is too high and too fast. Week 1 of each league.
3) I feel over-stimulated, can't see shit on the screen and struggle to find any meaning in blasting maps by 1-button screen clears.
4) Bosses die under 10sec. Pointless.

I hate losing XP so much that I usually stop playing the league once I reach level 70+. I'm ok to dying but not losing hours of progress.
it's not git gut - and entire poe is about learning game... use brain - learn game and make balanced dmg/survi builds

What people are telling you is to make a build that kills everything before you get killed, that's their representation of "git gud".
