No item filter on consoles is absolute insanity from GGG!

'The fact that they released the game for consoles without loot filter is insanity. What was GGG smoking when they thought that was going to be fine?'

That's a quote from Quin69. Say what you want about him, but he pretty much nailed it.

Criticism must be given when there's a reason for it and GGG fucked up with this one. Big time.

I know we're just console plebs and lesser people and don't deserve to be happy or enjoy anything in life, but it was a decision from GGG to launch the game on consoles just like they did with PoE1. No one forced them. When you decide to release a game on multiple platforms, you should be dedicated to make sure the game is enjoyable on all of those platforms. Don't have several children if you can only take care of one.

Not a rant, I love the game and it's easily the best ARPG I've ever played already in it's current state. Just wanted to share.

It became obvious to me that this EA was rushed. They needed more time.
No loot filter is how it should've been on all platforms for the duration of EA and only enabled close to release. At the very least ability to hide items should be disabled. Makes all issues with loot very apparent. The fact that people complain about lack of loot filter should be wake up call that there is a problem with loot, not that lack of loot filter is a problem.

Maybe you're right. Doesn't change the fact that they fucked up.
Eh, didn't GGG say, that console players can now subscribe to lootfilters, so that console gamers can also have them?

Are you aware the item filter is supposed to be coming to console in a patch due out this week?

It's not that they didn't think to put one in, it was just something they never quite got around to finishing.

There's a reason my PS5 gives me a button called "PLAY BETA". The game is incomplete and this was one of the things they didn't get around to. But the functionality must be mostly there it's probably to do with integrating between website and console.

Oh yeah, the site is up and running just like it has been for PoE1 console for all these years.

Only issue is it still doesn't work for PoE2. You can follow and copy as many filters as you want, but they won't show up in game. They haven't activated it yet.

I'm aware of all this.
