1 death on maps is hurting casual players and adds nothing to hardcore players

50% retention is really good, you don't know anything

less than %50. also how do u know?

I know because I talk to game developers instead of yelling at them on the internet.

You don't ask a car company to make a car with only two wheels.

You buy a bike instead.

You don't ask PoE2 to be a game for casuals.

You play D4 instead.

It's simple.

who cares what u think? if majority of ppl which its seems not little wants it itll happen as Mark said even if its last option. its option.

edit: i said "who cares what u think" in relation to op saying "you play d4" not the game (poe2)

i know that also its still less than %50. i asked how do u know i dont know. how do u know anything about me to assume smt.
Just had 3 map fails in a row because I exploded from something off screen. Didn't even see what killed me, one of those I literally took maybe 15 steps into the map and got instagibbed. Turned the game off for the day after that. I will give my 3 hours of game time tonight to a game where I can actually see what I am fighting before it actually kills me.

oh no the 24 hour peak is actually 45% or some shit instead of the 50% I rounded it up to. I'm so defeated. You've expertly dismantled me. I am laid low. You're so smart.
One portal does not suck, it is good. What sucks is balancing/visual clarity... One portal is only highlighting those problems.
Yep +1

It is really easy to die to BS in PoE 2. Many mobs can instakill you, and I'm talking about normal mobs, not even rares.

- You can easily get stun-locked even with Briny Carapace.
- If you get frozen (eg. by Prowling Shades), with multiple enemies nearby you are most likely dead.
- Some mobs hit like a damn freight train (most of the spitting snakes and zombies with spitting snakes) or act like a machinegun (eg. Venomous Crabs) and if you add criticals to this you can be dead before you know what happened.
- Lag and latency are still a problem, and can cause you to die.
- Invisible enemies spawning around you from league mechanics is still a problem.
- Breach and Delirium still tend to spawn a huge pack of (invisible) mobs right on top of you, imprisoning you, leading to death unless you are a melee tank. If you are eg. a Sorcerer, this means instant death.

So based on RNG luck, you can complete a T6 juiced map with no problem, then die repeatedly on a no-juice T1... And that is really killing the fun. Especially when dying removes map modifiers.

And then add XP loss to this. For a while, I was stuck at level 74, because no matter how careful I was I kept dying to some BS, like the examples mentioned above, resetting my leveling progress to zero. :( In the end, I had to crawl my way very slowly to the next level by doing no-juice T1 and T2s.
