500+ Hour Playtime Feedback on Pinnacle and Alt Content (Post Patch Notes)

This thread will be continued to be updated as I discover more issues or suggestions on content such as breach, delirium (etc) and Pinnacle boss encounters. Feel free to add your own commentary and i will update each listing appropriately, thread was collective at one point but received no responses.

My Character & Play Time:
Spoiler
Currently 96 ice strike monk on filthy casual league.
500 hours in (over multiple characters) good chunk of +4 content down, 100+ div investment into character.

Have forgotten what grass is. The touch of a woman is but a distant memory, lost to the void.

72% eva with acrobatics, 5423 es CI (over 10k with broken grim feast overflow) Howa, 80% ingenuity, 740 pdps staff with 2.66 crit chance and 35% crit bonus, 148k unbuffed ice strike tool tip, 42% crit with 590 crit bonus.

8/8 Breach atlas points.
6/8 Expedition points
8/8 Ritual points
2/8 Delirium
10/10 Boss.
8/8 Arbiter.

Delirium:
Spoiler
Mobs not leaving a corpse to shatter sucks.
Mirror shards (whatever the things you walk into to spawn monsters) feel like ass to walk into as they are physical? Slow you down.
Mobs spawn invincible, push you around, stun entirely too often. This in combination with corruption mobs feels bad.
Rewards suck.
Performance hit sucks, making other alternate content even worse performance, breach + deli is slideshow time.
Fog effect overwhelming, makes mob effects impossible to see.
Splinters drop in extremely underwhelming amounts, seeing two splinters after pushing to +5 rewards feels really bad.
Delirium anoints being the end game method of juicing maps currently means that delirium feeling bad makes juicing feel bad.

I have not been focusing on this content, but with over 500 hours played i have only accrued 199 splinters as of today. Have not been bothering with using delirium tablets as this is content i have not been focusing on. Have been juicing maps with oils.

Without focusing super hard into delirium, it seems extremely difficult to even begin to unlock points for it, and the mechanics themselves are not currently enjoyable to play.

NOTES AFTER UPDATE: Splinters do feel more common, delirium mobs feel less annoying, system as a whole still feels unrewarding.

Simulacrum:
Spoiler

First simul finally completed after acquiring some es to stun threshold jewels, currently the only content in the game that feels actually difficult.
Lessened with update:Mob invincibility on spawn + leaping at you, pushing you across the screen.
Deli mobs leave no corpse, and do not shatter on death, making (yes the broken) herald of ice useless in simul. After Recent patch: Still an issue.
STILL AN ISSUE AFTER UPDATE: MAIN ISSUE: Delirium mobs stun ENTIRELY too much.
Atlas points are super underwhelming, does not feel as if the content in it's current state is worth pursuing.
Unsure of "Isn't it tempting" node is even currently working?
Personally, 0/8 simulacrum should not be more difficult than a +4 twisted domain.

Expedition:
Spoiler

Logbooks feel extremely scarce, often times even +100 chance from remnants seem to yield no result. Began to question if +logbook remnant effects were working inversely, or even at all.
Seemed to receive more logbooks with expeditions that had no logbook remnants.
Logbooks themselves are very rng with having a boss node inside the logbook map itself.
Can go through tens of logbooks before seeing a boss.
Logs feel unrewarding, most chests feeling entirely worthless. Best outcome i can think of would be level 20 skill gems from a lucky chest (have yet to receive this).
At one point it almost felt like leaving a logbook if it had no boss node after opening the map would have been the better option.

Opinion after update: Listed issues remain. Expeditions still feel terrible for loot, vendors remain unrewarding.

Pluses: Boss is cool. Telegraphed well.

Breach:
Spoiler
It's good, you are aware of the goog.
Boss is also fun. Telegraphs well, cool theme, lead up to him feels good.

Honestly, no complaints, probably too good? Maybe others need to be raised up to be as good? Shruggers.
Oh wait, i take that back. Performance in breaches sucks, but you are aware of that.
Unknown cause breach bug, crashes instance, loses map. Happens about once a day, unsure of cause.
Suggestion: If possible, have splinters accrue into a stack that is dropped at breach closing point instead of scattered all over the place.

Ritual:
Spoiler
Feels difficult to juice for tribute. Packsize stacking, anointing maps for extra pack size (magic monsters, rares, etc) do not seem to have much impact, entirely RNG on ritual placement.
Altars spawn in annoying spots.
Chaos damage versions are deadly for non ci builds, specially in narrow altar locations. Feels like you need near max chaos res to risk interacting with content, and even then does entirely too much damage for what a CI character can just 100% ignore.
Took forever before i saw my first invite, at least 300-400 hours in before i ever saw an invite available in ritual. (Had not been using tablets for ritual that often, probably a factor)
Tablets that give + tribute feel extremely rare.
Wisp from Between Two Worlds node is incredibly difficult to see during combat, effect ring is next to impossible to see.

Notes Post Update: Rewards do feel improved. Juicing still feels somewhat difficult, but better rewards seem more common.

Boss:
Tornado is annoying, difficult to keep from being on top of the boss 24/7, a lot happening on screen all at once. Overwhelming until you have done the encounter a few times to judge your windows for burst.

Telegraphs well, easy to understand once you know what is what.

Arbiter:
Spoiler

Performance issues on mid to lower end hardware, stuttering during mechanics leading to unavoidable deaths.
Arbiter telegraphing is awful.
Compared to all the other boss encounters, his abilities is the least well telegraphed.
Flame wave effects need to be MUCH brighter, it is very difficult to react and position yourself in the safe corridor in time.
Arbiter being able to somehow enter flame wave (the screen fill with the safe corridor) while having been pushed to 2nd phase while frozen. Boss goes immune, but still does not transition in time to entering second phase because he is still frozen reaching that point.

The fight is very unintuitive.

Currently, I Personally still have no idea what the hell is going on 90% of the time. You either freeze him to death and never get the chance to even interact with mechanics, or die to something you did not understand.

Meteor phase can be misleading to when it's actually over, meteors dropping off screen can be missed. Knowing a beam may happen mid meteor could be telegraphed better.
No idea what the purpose of the orbs that change the terrain are meant to have.

Citadels:
Spoiler
Big W on the upcoming changes listed so far.

Count can be difficult to see some of his mechanics (red mechanics on top of red arena) (minor complaint)

Rest of bosses feel fine, did not encounter the issue with copper.

Loving the game, see the massive potential it has, going to put another decade into Path of Exile.

Thanks for reading, and the grass shall remain untouched.
