PoE 2 Crafting System
I have tried to defend it, saying craft exists, but it really doesn't.
Hardlocked resistances which you could swap in poe1 on a harvest bench. Omens and greater essences cost a fortune, which makes you feugal with crafting. I ahve spent over 300 divines currency crafting in poe2 and it has been exhausting. Weights on mods make it not rng, but most likely to roll worst trasg tier +8 mana mod. I have+5 wand that I could make better by rerolling one stat. One reroll attempt costs 16 divines, craft of exile counted 32 attempts average to craft the stat I need, so it would actually be cheaper to buy a mirror, and mirror myself best wand in the game, instead of a single stat adjustment. This literally makes no sense and makes it pointless to craft items yourself. Stats that are locked with level tier for omens are often not the best stats on an item. Meaning your item can get bricked if it rolls high level trash stat. It would make.much more sense if omens were like eldritch chaos orbs in poe1, and cost 1-2 divines, not 10-15 divines per roll. What crafting system?
POE 1 didn't have crafting either. What people don't seem to understand is RNG is lazy development. When you rely on it to make or break the experience... that's lazy development. When you use it to make a dungeon different each time instead of customizing the experience (like ascendancies), that's lazy development. When you make RNG the determinate for whether or not an item is useable when you VAAL it instead of an algorithm that makes it a positive experience? That's lazy development. This game is FULL of it and ponderously bad decisions for long-term player growth like EXP penalties in a PVE game, no trading system, no economy, no meaningful endgame, etc. etc. etc. Visit my Steam profile here: https://steamcommunity.com/id/TheBaconOverlord/

" Rng is not a bad system in itself, if you could predict all results you would have nno interest to play the game, there would be no chase items, there would be no expexpensive items, there would be no strong builds, no power creep, no people spending lver 100 hours playing this game. Devs know this well. My question is not about rng, its about wherever crafting is viable because mirror items are much cheaper. If you don't understand an essence of arpg which is throwing a dice you shouldn't even bother wasting your time here. Last edited by GODOFWARSANCHEZ#4574 on Jan 14, 2025, 8:41:28 AM

" If you could predict the outcome you'd know what you were making... which is what crafting actually is.... Visit my Steam profile here: https://steamcommunity.com/id/TheBaconOverlord/

But I can predict the outcome. Its gonna be accuracy or life per second.

Saying poe1 had no crafting and everything was rng is dumb. Crafting will always have some rng to it or everyone will just play with the same gear every league. There will be plenty of ways to determine your crafting, but people seem to forget that we only have less than half a game yet and that poe1 was shit and had no crafting on release. You guys are complaining on an unfinished product about being bad because it's unfinished.
Just chill and comeback when it's officially release. Let them cook. |

" How the hell you have all the supporter packs ever released by the game. Imagine how fun the game would be if every map had a predictable loot of 10 divines per map? Fun, Amazing. Poe 1 and poe 2 are both good due to unique economy and hardness/difficulty of gearing up but the writer above is right, we need to wait for more systems and leagues to be introduced for crafting to get better, also next patch with omens becoming more common could ease the pain a lil bit |
