The player in the video link is the mastermind behind developing this method of using mouse macros. I hope the developers ban them, along with other players using mouse macros, to maintain fairness for everyone else.

It only assists the mouse, and it doesn't affect the balance, so what are you jealous of?

Well, automation (for macros such as this) are not allowed and can get you banned. Logout macro is allowed by GGG if done in a specific way, you can read about it. That's about the only exception I am aware of.

Still is unenforceable. Any such thing can be appended with small random timing variation to make it effectively impossible to prove someone is doing. Do not waste time thinking on things that are effectively our of anyone's control.

The concept of automation is extremely vague. Your operating system is intercepting your mouse and interpreting it... is that automation? If the mouse has a software driver that overwrite windows ? IS that automation? If that driver generates 4 events on a single physical click? Anything that is in the driver layer is beyond the scope of the game and no one can do anything about it.

I can make you 3$ chinese mini board, that you stick in your USB and it does this job for you, cannot tell difference if it is keyboard or mouse or whatever...

This has been a thing, from the down of POE 1. And still is.
And besides the most obvious cases of abuse of macros, that come from people close to your level of expertise (MOM, I AM HACKER) I can assure you, that no one of GGG has done anything to prevent, and no one in GGG will be doing anything to prevent, for one simple reason:

There is nothing to be done.
