POE 2: Killed Mektul the Goldsmith but died at the same time. Can't grab Hammer of Kamasa.

Just killed Mektul the Goldsmith but died at the same time. Mektul dropped his loot in the canal at the bottom of the map in Molten Vault, but I was spawned just above the canal at the lift. Now since Mektul is dead I can't use the lift, and I can't grab the Hammer or any of the loot.

Anyone else get around this?
