One shot Mechanics MUST STOP... MAKE THE GAME FUN AGAIN

I should have a chance to defend myself. Just fought an easy boss with no extra damage mods. All I see is him point no other notice no vocal and then suddenly I am one shot I know the mechanics well but VOCAL OR VISUAL CUES ARE NOT ALWAYS ON POINT... Also the lag added to mechanics is unbearable. Oh and I am play MOM spark atm 4k mana 6k es 1.8k life I was full when i got one shot. This was on the Rotten druid in a map btw t15 no damage increases. Damage was on the ability where he points and shotguns vines. This happened instantly and I was mid roll. cap res btw but I could not live even half a second

I have stopped having fun progressing past level 91 is not fun cant find citadels still getting little from endgame I just dont think the game is in a fun place and you had POE to learn from. Havent had a single divine drop since campaign. Have seen no perfect jewelers in 3 days played. 1 level 20 gem. 0 spirit gems past level 18. Farming t15 on good maps and 14 on nodes with nothing. 16s when I have +2 and nothing nothing nothing but wasted time and it wasnt even fun. Seen 2 pinnacle bosses also in like 3.5 days played KINDA STUPID GGG

I agree that one-shot mechanics as they are implemented in this game are unfair due to the lack of sufficient visual and aural cues.

One-shot mechanics, generally speaking, should not exist in video games at all because they don't allow for recovery and adaptation on the player part. They undermine the "conversational" relationship inherent in games. A better solution is to deal large percentage damage.

But if they do exist, then they should be overly telegraphed and give players ample time to avoid. That way there is no excuse for players not seeing or hearing things in time.
it shows there's no real vision when the gimmick is "the vision"

everything shouldn't one shot

a well shouldn't fill up all flasks

every class shouldn't ascend the same way

do the campaign on cruel after you just did the campaign

Most of the deaths being listed are not "One Shots"
I mean I know they are becasue the mob attacked once and you died.

However .
It is really only a one shot when.
You have no mods active.
You were at full health.
You have maxed resists to the element that hit you.

If the above is true its a one shot ..
And they exist in the game on boss encounters and have for the most part some kind of visual or audio warning.

BUT

Most people will have low resists to an element.
A map or modifier on a mob that enhances damage .

So for example.

you have 10% chaos resist
you fight a mob with

Extra Chaos Damage
Extra Projectiles
Volatile Plants.

You are going to die when you get hit.
Is that a one shot ?

What are one shot many times are the on death explosions that occur
after the mob is dead.

Often the most powerful attack occures after a mob is dead.
In fact it makes more sense for the mobs to just pull straws.

Short straw runs at me and stabs itself in the eye as it lunges forward and dies at my feet .... BOOM... im dead.

Those deaths I very much have a problem with

I've got 350 hours of play time and not once have I been 1 shot. Make it make sense?

99 percent of these posts are because you lack the proper understanding of the game, and don't realize what is actually happening to you.

I can agree that getting one shot is bad, but that is just not happening. Fighting everything from trash, to rares, to bosses, to pinnacle bosses, and not one one-shot.

Learn your resistances and learn that some maps are just deadly. Sometimes a map is just bad and you should move on or run that map realizing you are probably going to die.
Its just bugs being bugs. If it oneshots and its not a clearly telegraphed red attack with a sound cue, then odds are you ran into a bug.
