I low key want to make every build a Witch because I enjoy the VA and her unhinged takes.

I agree, completely. I usually love sorcerers in general, I like playing mage characters. I played a witch, warrior, and a ranger first and thought nothing of it through three entire campaigns passing twice through act 2. It wasn't until I played the sorceress that I realized the maraketh are disgusting, because otherwise it's really just Asala who is also the same obnoxious way.
It's not even a "slave apologist" kind of thing, their voice lines are just so insufferable. I'm down for example with the witch being a psycho, having a big ego, it's fun playing a character that believes they're the shit. What's not fun is playing a character who thinks their "race" is the best and that everyone else is inferior because they aren't maraketh, and who spends most of her voicelines being racist towards faridun or how cool it is being maraketh. |
