Affected self-damage when taking Pledge in Trial of Sekhemas?

I'm in Trial of Sekhemas, and self damage I do via Pyromatic Pact (Infernalist passive) is suddenly doubled.

These are my current afflictions:
Honed Claws (Monsters deal 30% more Damage)
Spiked Exit (Take 155 Phys dmg on room completion)

These are my boons:
Fount of youth (Restore 173 Honour when venerating a shrine)

These are my pledges:
Pledge to the Powerful (50% less honour lost at Boss, 100% more lost in non-Boss rooms)

Now I never usually take this pledge, but I just did, and immediately noticed that I'm doing a LOT more self damage with Pyromantic Pact. I almost kill myself suddenly.

In boss rooms, I do half the damage to myself.
