Corrupted Quarterstaff affix: "Gain 1 Rage on Hit" not working

Managed to get a pretty sweet corrupted quarterstaff with the corrupted affix "Gain 1 rage on hit", but as the title suggests, it just does not work. Noticed that it didn't proc on Ice Strike so I also tested it with Quarterstaff strike and unfortunately, it also just does not proc on hit.
