Controlled Metamorphosis Bug

I rerolled my Controlled Metamorphosis with a Divine orb while it was still in my passive tree without knowing that it could change the radius of it. The radius was very large so when it changed to something smaller the skill was out of reach. I still had the skill in the tree and could even take the stone out and socket a different one in the slot.

Edit: after playing one map like this the skill point seemed to have reset. I can't tell if the stats of it applied or not.
