GPU in breach.

i play a freeze monk , the whole point is the big screen clears and when i am in breach , and i explode screens my gpu temp jumps over 100C up to 113c i just seen it.

no my pc is not old , its 1 year old now , with maybe 3 year old hardware.
and yes its just poe , i play new AAA games , latest example would be space marine 2 , there everything is on high . and this never happens in any other game .

here i lowered everything as much as possible , as to why you wont let us disable unnecessary things like shadows i will never agree on or understand.
(also yes vsync is on) (also i wanna mention no the gpu is not faulty and i replaced the thermal paste recently)

give us more options in settings or optimize the game , this is not an acceptable state for consumption at all .

i am long time fan of GGG , and i can accept all kinds of balance problems , bug problems , and other stuff going around .

but this is crossing a line , GPU is an expansive item , and you are not going to buy it for me . so what choice are you leaving me here with.

i guess this game is only meant for people in 1st world countries , but even then i seen more then a few posts about top end pcs melting .

sorry man it's not the game, your system needs better cooling.

please read what is above i just told you i play high end games and it has no problems there , temp never crosses 80 , usually 60-75 range.

if you refuse to even read a post , then how are you making a informed reply .
Optimization wouldn't hurt.

Hopefully your GPU will PROPERLY throttle if your system gets to dangerously high levels of issues.

I think my GPU throttles BUT I do lose FPS. If I was running a flashy build my poor system might become a slide show but being a meathead slammer build means that I don't have millions of arrows, fireballs, minions, all going at once :)

What you wrote is irrelevant.

It is not the job of the game to ensure that your hardware is capable of coping with the load.

POE does not know or care what temp your GPU runs at.

Your GPU is not GGGs problem.

I don't care what other games run at.

Go run 3DMark speedway stress test or Furmark for and watch your GPU thermal throttle.

His point is that it is the graphic cards job to up the fans speed so it doesn't get too hot, and your system to set fans in the case, to further get rid if that heat.

The game can demand whatever it wants- it's your system the sets the limitations.

What I would suggest is to set a max fps, in the settings, so the game is less demanding on your system.
Also see if there are some other fan profiles for your graphic card, and set them so they start earlier at lower temperatures perhaps.

AT LEAST until some optimizations are released for the game.

Cheers :)
Yes, game needs a lot of optimization. A lot of people are having performance issues. Hopefully they are working on it.

You're spot on (and way nicer than I am).

I would say that I would focus on addressing heat at sustained max load rather than load mitigation via FPS limits.

You paid for the whole GPU and CPU, so you ideally want to be able to use 100% of both 100% of the time right?

Prime95, Furmark, Cinebench can stress both GPU, RAM and CPU to 100%. Really for gamers, Furmark alone is generally good enough to get the GPU to the highest temperature you should ever see - and if your cooling can't deal with it - you have a problem to fix - often a problem as simple as cleaning out some dust.

Finally, GPU undervolting can actually have huge temperature drops often with no actual performance drops or loss of stability - but that really depends on how lucky you got with the silicon lottery. So I personally would turn to that before I start to force frame limits and leave potential performance untapped.
