You can transition to Platinum,Gold,Silver,Copper
It occurs to me that this is possible and might be the best option.
Right now crafting doesn't exist. Its a random suffix or prefix addition or replacement. But all of these operations can be listed as services offered by a vendor. 1 platinum = prefix addition 300 gold = suffix addition. All drops in the game would be gold or plat. Most things would be priced in gold/silver I imagine with plat being for bulk wealth storage. Values would be simple 10c = 1s 100s = 1g 1000g = 1p Get rid of inventory and have a coin purse. No more portals to town every 3 minutes. all drops in the game are money. all prices in vendor are money all services are money. online store prices in money. No point having these convoluted currency options. There isnt really any crafting per se . Just make it obvious and simple . I want another stat ... buy a spin of the wheel on the stat-o-matic, 400 gold. All sales are final. Last edited by Jitter912#4278 on Jan 5, 2025, 9:20:39 PM Last bumped on Jan 5, 2025, 10:06:53 PM

eh, they are probably going to add in a lot more craftin currencies down the road so this is very moot.

" Agree. Though I do like the idea of 2 fold coin currency for certain crafts ^^ My Hideout -> https://hideoutshowcase.com/hideout/show/2881 (PoE1)

Oh no, as a new player it took me a while to figure out and get accustomed to all the currency ( and I'm still missing some since I haven't discovered everything ), now you want me to change? Haha.
Apart from fun, I think that this is a good idea as it simplifies things by a lot. I'd only have 1 objection for "all drops in the game are money", I'd still like to see some drops i.e. from bosses, be it a unique or at least something other than just "money" maybe a special item / token to go and buy that unique ( I know it's against your idea, but maybe just 1 thing to remain ). It's a really nice feeling when you're after a specific item and it finally drops after an endless grind in some cases ( if you have my luck at least ), that's one of the great points in arpg gaming in my opinion ( not sure if PoE has targeted drops though, since I'm new I might just be talking nonsense atm ). |

My point is there is no reason to do that.
Every operation in crafting can be easily listed at a vendor. Add something to an item. Remove something from an item. So crafting becomes. Buy a white base from the vendor = 5 silver. Add something to a white = 50 silver. Add second something to an item 1G Add a third something to an item 10G Add a fourth something to an Item 1P Remove something from a 4 tier Item 500G Remove something from a 3rd tier item 10G etc. There is no reason to have the currency cluster fuck that is PoE1 One currency . Many Options ... Instead of Many Options , Many currencies. I started as a troll becasue crafting is such shit ... but in wrting it ... tbh ... it makse sense to have 1 currency system with known and constant increments and allow the services they buy to fluctuate .. GGG should hire me ... i swear, I think I was meant to be a Kiwi.. Last edited by Jitter912#4278 on Jan 5, 2025, 10:05:09 PM

Except they want you to go town every 3 minutes. It's why the inventory is absurdly small and there is a free identify npc just hanging out there.
