The atlas/map system is a downgrade from PoE 1 and not fun for long

Idk, as a poe1 player for a decade i love the new "atlas". Running "favorite" maps was always cancer. Seriously people just want to rush through the endgame on ONE map pushing ONE button? Whose idea of fun is that?

I hate drop rates and overtuned (relatively to the lack of defenses) mobs though.

its obviously temp content for ea you dorks
Since I entered the Atlas map, I no longer feel a sense of accomplishment, so my motivation to play PoE2 has decreased.

You really think they created that whole map, all the art, everything just for it to be temporary and replaced entirely? I don't think so. It's their first iteration of their idea of how the endgame should be. And if we don't complain it will stay.

I don't want to press 1 button or giga zoom through maps. I just don't want to do bad maps like Vaal Factory, Willow, Blooming Field, just all the maps that are mazes or where you get stuck on things you can't see without looking at the map (and due to that die and poof map gone). Running all the empty travel maps sucks and is boring, having to plan towers and set them up sucks, thinking about having to do that forever is a nightmare.

It's like playing PoE 1 but the whole endgame is Syndicate.

Not to mention right now it's zooming maps with one button too, just not the maps I want to run and without rewards because I can't get myself to actually do the tower minigame correctly.

If towers wouldn't be a thing so I'm more free in which maps to do and where to go it would already be so much better, but with them it's all about doing the bad maps, clearing towers, putting in the correct tablets and then doing the good maps. Then doing bad maps again to travel to the next group of towers.

Also, I finally got myself to risk it and do Arbiter. On the first one-shot circle thing he also nuked the safe zone with another attack. GG. 2-3 div or rather hours to days of farming gone in seconds. If the goal was to make this game even more for the top few % of players then they achieved it, because I'm anything but casual considering my playtime and past playtime in PoE 1, and still I really don't feel like doing that boss, or others for that matter, again. Too expensive, too risky, not worth it. Don't know the boss, don't have skill points, so probably can't gain anything anyway.
