State of Endgame and Warrior
First off, I haven't played PoE1 at all. Yes, I'm new to the PoE side of ARPG. Yes, I have much to learn.
Yes, I understand, it's early access...... But the current state of endgame if awful. This mapping, rifting system needs to go.....tired of seeing it in ARPGs. There has to be a more innovative system out there that can put this tired trope into retirement while still being fun and rewarding. Why it's awful: Difficulty ramps up too much from campaign, even if just doing a level 1... When I die to unavoidable one shot mechanics, I lose 15min - 20min of gameplay by way of xp death penalty. If you're going to punish me for dying, at least make the maps a bit more rewarding for completing successfully instead of just looking forward to more map keys to continue dying in. On to the warrior: Overall, I think the class is very fun to play, but has a seriously rough time starting out. I understand the thought behind the warrior being a slower paced combatant with wind up skills meant to do massive damage, but....it's too damn slow. Please speed up the warrior at least a little bit. Anyhow, campaign was awesome. Boss fights are amazing, and completing that journey (as it is now) was simultaneously rewarding and punishing.
