GGG holidays are over, yet no coming out regarding all on death effect and 1 portal threads
I’ve been playing POE1 since the Delirium league, and I love it.
I’m also enjoying POE2 and having a great time, but... You know what I never did in POE1? Rage quit. Not a single time did I alt+F4. All my sessions ended because it was bedtime or simply because I had played too long. But you know what? Every single time I stop playing POE2, it’s with an alt+F4 and the frustration that comes with it. First of all, the on-death effects make my playtime frustrating. The dynamic they create is just toxic—every time, all I do is kill mobs and wait for them to explode (or not). One second of not paying attention, and boom, I’m dead. This, combined with having only one portal, makes things even more frustrating. I don’t even interact with map mechanics like Breach, Delirium, etc., out of fear of losing the map. Each game session turns into frustration. I’m going to quote the dictionary here on the definition of “game”: “An activity that one engages in for amusement or fun.” This game currently does not accomplish that for me. I don’t mind dying occasionally and losing some experience. But dying and then losing experience plus the map plus the investment—all in just one attempt—is way too harsh of a penalty. It’s a shame, because I enjoy the game. GGG, take a look at how game sessions end after people die and how they die. Draw your own conclusions. Afaik, holidays are over after January 6th, meaning next Tuesday. Just level up another char and work on your anger issues...

Yep, I think I am done until they change endgame. I primarily play with 2 friends, and it makes endgame 3 times as worse. One friend quit already. I think I am going to uninstall today as well.

If you're not enjoying it then stop playing. Also seek some therapy if you are getting frustrated over a video game but continue to log into it.

" I don't have any anger issues, where did you get that from? This is an Early Access Feedback forum, and that is my feedback. You don't need to like it, and I don't care. Actually, no one cares. " Looking at your comment, maybe you're the one who needs therapy. I keep logging into the game because I like it; it's just that part of the game that's frustrating. I'll give you a tip to help you determine whether answering is appropriate or not: Read about Socrates' three filters, it will help you quite a bit in life. |

Bro, folks likely just started returning yesterday/today and the office will likely mostly be back up and running next week. And it takes time for them to get back, catch up, and start having meetings/discussions.
Folks just seemingly expecting GGG to return from the holidays and have a detailed plan to respond to feedback over the holidays instantly and like that's not how reality works at all? |

" The title of your post screams it. The content of your post screams it. Your responses in this thread scream it. Anger, with a nice hefty serving of entitlement. |

GGG releases the game and disappears for a month, during which time players become frustrated with accumulated and unfixed bugs. This is an easy way to destroy the initial enthusiasm of the community. That's all.

" Well, you're wrong in both assumptions. I don't have anger issues, and I don't feel entitled to anything. I like this game; I just don't like certain parts of it. It's called feedback—this is early access, and they asked for feedback. It's up to them to listen or not. Obviously, it would be nice if they listened, and it would suck if they didn’t, but that's not entitlement. |
