Changing ascendancies confusion.

If you respec points in ascendency and go to alter it gives the option to change..

You can change your ascendancy nodes, but not the "theme". I.E You cant change from Gemling to Witch Hunter or Warbringer to Titan.

Can you actually change it or does it just tell you so? This post is rather unhelpful without that vital piece of information. We are supposedly not able to change Ascendancies, so yeah, it'd actually be helpful to know if that even works to begin with, you know.
