How much meltdown will there be after nerfs coming soon?

es takes 2x from chaos damage in poe2 iirc

They will call it quit just to come back 2 days after, the usual.

i'm all pro-nerf. I want arpg-roguelike, not arpg-vampire-survivors-alike-poe1.

Just depends on how they handle it. Those going to whine and say they are quitting are going to do that no matter what. What will really hurt them is how they do it. Just doing it and saying deal with it, with patch notes at the time they do it will probably hurt their player numbers pretty badly. If they give us a day or two notice of whats getting fixed and most people will be fine.

For me personally I am finally in a spot where I have several builds at maps and at the moment don't have anything else in mind that I want to try. So its time to hit up some end game. But right now is a terrible time to pick one of them and invest the time in it. So I'll be waiting till I hear from them.....or see what survives round 1 lol.

im not even able to run T8 maps, let alone come anywhere near getting swarmed by breach or rituals. Nerf it to the ground, i wont feel a difference. a pinnacle boss? whats that? you guys find these things ?

its Early Acess, i've signed up for this, so do your worst.
I'll just roll a new toon and experience the game anew.

There will be doomers regardless, but I think the broader reception will be based on what other changes/fixes come with that patch.
If its a patch full of nerfs, with no fixes to improve the gameplay experience, abuse exploits, bugs, hacks, etc. I think people will be rightfully irritated.

The big holiday break right after release left a lot of people irritated, if they come back from that break and their focus/priority is on nerfing and adding friction instead of fixing issues it will probably solidify newcomers negative opinions.

I've been around long enough to have faith in GGG, but that faith was earned over years. Newcomers have no reason to trust the company right now, especially after the holiday break release.
