[BUG] Item Level Requirement increased after using an Exalt Orb on it

I have bought an item on the POE2 trading site, this is it before I did any modifications to it:

And this is the item after I exalted it twice (The level requirements changed on the first exalt):

For some reason the item itself changed from level requirement level 55 to level 59 during the upgrade process (first Exalt Orb), no other changes like further exalting it, adding notches and quality have changed it.

Why did this occur and is this intended behaviour?

Thank you.

just happend to me with an amulet. Now I need to 4 levels to use it again. Currently I am lvl 52. I bought the amulet when I was at around lvl 42. Now my build is totally broken and do not have enough currency to buy an amulett that works again. So raged that I think about deleting my char and try again in 6 month or so. or when it is not anymore early access.
Level requirement can change based on the modifiers on the item. Rolling a high level mod with your exalted orb increased the required level to equip it. This is not a bug.

The ilvl of the item determines the pool of mods it can roll.
I see. So conlcusion, dont use ex on items if you are not in the endgame , imho. Best to avoid any currency at all. better just use it for trading..
