Yes you lose profits.

The soul core about magic find, started from about 150 exalts.
Gradually raised to 300 exalts.
Last night it was 466 exalts.

(this is also the spirit one)

This inflation of prices actually makes the "currency" you have to be "less valuable".

So while somewhat dumb person may say "but your currency is the same you do not lose it".

No, it is the same, but you can buy "less" with it.

I wont share outside links, but there are sites now that you can check how the prices increase relative to the currency.
If Magic Find is gate keeping Team play then is pretty easy to me get MF out of the game, friends > items.

I am praying to all gods that they remove it.

But the truth is - there are people now with multiple high-end unique items in their stashes, and piles of divine orbs.

And while you can nerf the MF to oblivion, you cannot simply remove those items and currency that are already in the game.

What you are explaining here is a side of the game that is part of the game but is NOT the main game, to most people.

I couldnt care less that some people game the market system (which they do).
You want cheaper items, sure everyone does i guess, but people play the market and if they see there is something people want they raise prices.
Has nothing to do with people playing together and having high MF directly.
Look up the botting problem the game has when it comes to trading and gaming that system.

"Yes you lose profits." lol what...made up numbers that get reset every league? That is not "profits" there is nothing to gain, there is no real tangible world attachment, unless YOU are going agains the terms of service and selling it for real life money.
Are you?

Second point is YOU still dont lose anything in real life currency, if playign the market is your game, play it, but know THATS not the game.

I have over 3300 hours in PoE1 and have NEVER had issues with items being overpriced or people doing aurabotting and mf find groups etc.
WHy?
Because i play THE GAME not the trade game.

So no you DONT play against other people, unless you see the market as some sort of pvp, in a game where resources are infinite.

The market side is NOT the game, the game is running maps etc. and that part is bad for people who actually have friends to run with.

Your argument is moot.
Its not as if MF wasnt a issue in Poe1, there frequently were groups that dropped 10-divine stacks... just look at yt

Thats a completely separate issue, dont derail the main issue, playing coop with a buddy is way worse

The root problem with this isn't magic find (rarity), it's that rarity increase the amount of currency that drops, pumping massive amounts of it into the market, which causes that inflation. That and there aren't enough currency sinks.
just give us back the crafting bench and then currency sinks will happen
