Trial of chaos points for improvement after 100+ runs
|
This is feedback after running 100+ lvl 80 10 trials of chaos + Trialmaster.
Would be great if you could change it and have both trial of chaos and sanctum invs on the currency exchange. I bought 200 bulk on tft but i'd much rather just have this avilable in game like we do with the trial master fragments. Secondly, the rares offered as a reward should baseline have max quality and rune sockets. Then they can actually offer interesting corruptions and not be completely unuseable garbage even with good stats. (edit) If this would be "too powerful" possible adding tainted currency from the trial of chaos would make sense thematically and make the items it offers useable. Finally, for the love of god add stash before each boss like in poe1 and at the end. P.S add a portal after the Trial master fight so i don't have to go through a town with no waystone, then a portal to somewhere with a waystone just to get back to my H/O or back to the trial of chaos. I'm fine with the difficulty, if anything the trial bosses are too low HP. Vaal pyramid bleed is rediculous, one shots minions and does insane damage to players. Stacking damage taken "over time" is far to fast. I'm at 8 stacks (literally 1% a second) by the time the elevator touches the floor and it starts. Please don't utterly nerf this end game farming mode because people can't do it under leveled in campaign gear. I think alot of the crying has stopped now people are offering the sanctum boosts. Sadly i don't enjoy sanctum and this is vastly superior to waystones, hopefully it remains a viable end game farming alternative. I think it would be fine if there were separate quest versions of the trial tokens that you could use to face an easier version of the trials to get your ascendency.
As for feedback on the trial of chaos itself I think there are a handful of the modifiers that are overtuned in my opinion. Petrification Statues is one of the most frustrating modifiers as the statues have no real counter-play and they place the statues in front of every switch in the trials so there's no avoiding them. Volatile Fiends is incredibly punishing as it adds an on-death effect to EVERY mob in the game and those on-death effects chase the player. |

" I agree with your first point. "Petrification Statues" - I try to avoid it for the sake of speed but it's playable, just have your back to it. "Volatile Fiends" - It's not "every mob" it's 1 in 5 maybe and every rare mob, you can just roll when it stops above you. I pick this pretty much every run as you are basically never not moving, it's fairly negligible. |
