Best fix for "magic find"

Best fix:

1 raise item rarity by default by around 50% for everybody
2 move "magic find" as a possible inplicit on every item (extra slot)
3 make it basically uber rare and unable to be searched for by players so that only way to get it is when an item is first generated or by a Vaal Orb as a 1-5% extra chance

This way getting it would require you either to have a great amount of luck and to spend big in order to make that said item usable in some1's build

4 lower it's impact so an UBER lucky individual won't have 10 times more exalted drops then your average player, if you ask me, make it another 10% on each item. Enough to feel a slight advantage, yet not enough to matter in the server economy, but only on a personal level.

Tell me this is not the best fix ever, i dare you. With arguments !

Stoping it from being overpowered can be much simpler.
1. Make the base drop rate slightly better.
2. Cap MF at +100% on gear (resists and block are capped, so no reason this can't be done).
3. Bonus from MF becomes less effective the higher it is (every 1% always improves it, but improvement from 10% to 20% is bigger than from 90% to 100%).
Best fix for magic find: Remove it
Make magic find, above a certain percent, be tied to a mechanic that empowers enemies every second in the area. Upon reaching another limit you are cursed progressively. And on the maximum limit bosses will spawn in packs with three random modifiers.
Assababud, thats a nice suggestion as well.
I have better solution.

1. Make MF ONLY affect gear drop rarity slightly (alot less than it has now). Remove MF affecting currency or any other consumable/sockatable item drops.
2. Currency for trading is unaffected AND buff slightly base drop rarity for currency that grows with each player level. This also adds more fun for higher level characters to farm in the endgame and get better chances.
3. It removes needs for MF to get currency hence focus is on actual gear stats progression
4. Those who want to have best rarity for ITEMS chance drop only can use unique items if they have already min-maxed their gear and only hunting best uniques.


Until MF is not tied off from rare currency drops any changes there is invalid and pointless. You are still mandatory to have it.
