Decaying hex not scaling
Decaying hex doesnt scale with chaos, global or curse damage. So only INT but not its tags or global. Neither is it affected by curse effects like the blood mage ascendency, which would make it a viable playstyle.
Compared this to corrupted blood, the STR variant of decaying hex. It does scale with every tag + global. It is affected by warcry mods. It has a base of 250% STR damage at max stacks, no cd with ascendency, ignores armor and still gets global + tags damage increases. My gemling alone does on lvl 65 8-9k aoe persistent corrupted blood phys damage per sec that ignores armor... both my int and str gemling have 400 of thier respective stats, but while my INT cant even kill white enemies with the curse, my str one melts bosses while bbeing nearly unkillable... I totally agree. I too am running a CB war cry gemling. It works, but i hate it. I was hoping to switch to Decaying hex, for more colorful screens, and QoL with a single application and longer lasting. I hope this gets looked at very quickly, as well as changed.
