GGG, put an end to this nonsense of Stormbringer and Pathfinder.
" Im sorry but you need to be a little less antagonistic in your posts. Armour doesnt really mean anything in this conversation. 20k es lets you laugh at every mechanic though, need some videos? I can link you a uber where someone just stands in the slam. Grim feast and ES builds are on the chopping block. If your build is struggling then it is really only you that has this issue. ES and its current scaling is currently out of control and will be dialed way back. Probably beyond grim feast as well Mash the clean

" so you are forming your opinions based on the twitch chat of some streamer running a 200div build. thats cringe but whatever. grim feast costing more spirit or having a cap sounds fine to me, grim in particular is a bit wild. however, ES is not systemically nuts by any stretch of the imagination tho, all the other defensives are just horrid right now. armour in particular is near useless atm. stop calling for the entire tree to be chopped down when all it needs is the top to be trimmed. your opinion is based on an ignorant conflation of reality. stop it. ![]() Last edited by JODYHiGHR0LLER#6171 on Jan 1, 2025, 2:12:17 PM

I am not a math geek but some players also seem to think 1 life equals 1 ES and if i have 2,5k life and the other player has 10k ES they have 4 times more than me so they must get nerfed. Which is obviously not the case.
If Armor would actually be decent 2,5k life can easily be the same effective hit points than 10k ES and you can potentially have way better recovery with that aswell. Last edited by Strickl3r#3809 on Jan 1, 2025, 2:15:49 PM

" Not even 10k ... not even ... 7k ES is balanced with current health scaling available in POE2. The reason its appropriate in POE1 is because there are other things at play that even out being at a different part of the tree. Things that are not present in POE2, such as spell suppress, endurance charges actually doing something, proper health scaling, incomming damage conversion, max res etc... Theres nothing in line with what ES does. And "armour being shit" isnt the problem. Its these missing other mechanics that are. But more importantly, current ES numbers are over the top and unnecessary. We already have every major content creator and competitive player in the world currently on board with this. So I think I will take their word for it, along with the facts listed above. Again Armour is just physical damage reduction. It doesnt matter how much you buff it, you could give me 30% extra PDR, it still doesnt provide any elemental reduction at all. Something the other mechanics listed above do but arent present in POE2. Armour also behaves differently based on the incoming hit. Its not meant to disrupt large hits, only small ones. It has massive diminished effect the larger the hit. Mash the clean Last edited by Mashgesture#2912 on Jan 1, 2025, 2:23:57 PM

" While I agree armour needs some work to make it actually do enough. You are still missing a huge chunk of the problem. ES still gets resist capped, and it is easier as they do not need to chaos cap. A large portion of what kills you in the game is NOT physical damage. The ES Builds deal with the physical damage by not getting hit as most of the time they are ranged. The elemental Damage still hits you for 5k+ which means that most life based builds will just get chunked down or 1 shot. This is where a lot of the problem lies and armour does not fix that. |
