Dead end on atlas

I found a dead end on my atlas, which seems a bit unnecessary. As you can see in the picture below, I cannot progress further and have to go way back to take another route. This feels quite unsatisfying, because why isn' there a route throught the moutains or another connection to the north.
You can also see that some nodes/maps are swallowed by terrain, which make it tricky to see certain routes.

Happens to me every time I go towards the next set of big towers. I get to the first tower, to discover the other towers are not a few maps away, but more like 30+ maps away. Then I don't wanna play anymore.
Happens to me while driving a lot of the time too. It's bullshit, every town should just direct connect to every other town.
Seen this happen to, i have 1 node on my map that has no connection at all. I also have an area where there is a seperation between 2 sides that last for 3-4 screens. The algorithm connecting nodes definitely has some issues.
It is not just dead ends on the atlas but on mine, I cannot get to the south region of my atlas at all. I now pathed along ~50 maps or so and there is no connection (yet) to that other side. Happens more frequently with water because I found another set of isles around water where I cannot path to the other side either...

This just sucks and should not happen
