I love the current crafting system, and it makes me want to play SSF Standard forever

Let's talk about trade: it kind of breaks the game. With about a million items available, and all of them being super cheap, you can just buy the best gear and jump straight into maps to start leveling up.

But without trade, it feels like when I first played Diablo II. You can't just craft the perfect gear; you have to grind, find, or craft it yourself.

It feels amazing when you finally get the item you want. As Chris once said, "look at the item I got, it's super OP."

It's different from Path of Exile 1, where you could just follow a simple process to get gear with all the mods you want.

The current crafting system in Path of Exile 2 gets me even more excited. It makes me want to experiment with crafting gear, and I don't feel like quitting the game after just two weeks with all the content done.

What crafting? It's literally IDing items with extra steps and currency.
There is zero crafting in this game.
Just currency gambling.

They removed the crafting bench and turned it into a scrapping table.
In turn it made the economy explode where divs keep increasing in price cause there is no currency sink like the crafting bench in POE1.

I think the current base is much better than PoE 1's as well. All the orbs are better.

I think we need a bit more of determinism, though, not complete determinism, but semi-determinism, like Recombination in PoE 1, but without all the shenanigans.

I'd like a crafting system more like Last Epoch's, but that's probably not coming.

I'd already be happy with Omens and Essences being far more common. As long as annuls stay very rare, that should be ok.

I think chaos omens shouldn't exist, though.
I play SSF with only currency exchange. I blow so many exalts trying to make an item I couldn't imagine being pure SSF.I'd never have enough exalts to do anything. I get a divine drop, trade it for 125 exalts and can blow through them before I get anything usable. And no, I will not use an external trade website.

I can't stand the current "crafting" system. POE 1 was overcomplicated, but crafting feels non-existent in this game. It's just pure gambling with a very low chance of anything good ever coming from it. It feels like a waste of time.
Smashed some exalts on random gear to get random afixes. Man, this crafting session was so intense! Everything came out trash, but the intesity, you know? the intensity! It's BY FAR the best crafting system in arpg games ever! Don't touch it, it's absolutely awesome the way it is! If you don't LOVE it, it's just a skill issue!

CRAFTING=using 2 essences. OK. And if you are SSF you will probably never use omens on a regular basis.

Yeah, I wish recombination was a little "smarter" somehow. Maybe with a special currency that makes the recombination "more likely" or Idk, something.
