Where's the loot?

I've been running T16-18 maps for several hours each day for the past week or so. I'm juicing maps as much as I can (alch + vaal or distlled emotions if I've got 'em) and I load irradiated / breach / ritual precursors into as many towers as I can in each area before doing juiced maps.

The loot is just awful. I haven't seen a single raw divine drop in 50+ maps. 99% of the rares I pick up are nothing but a waste of time. I craft on useful bases and have made a few div just by random luck on the exalt RNG but God damn...this feels really unrewarding.

If you're expecting people to grind for 50-100 hours between exciting loot drops, I have a feeling there's going to be a lot of disappointment. Endgame maps are just a grind to nowhere.

Makes one wonder, how then certain streamers have gear worth 700 divines...

GGG should investigate them and every single account they have been in contact with.
Gotta make a spark mf exploiting char. Game is cooked.

They play 16 hours a day with viewer gifted gear and use busted MF farms in groups. Never underestimate how many losers follow streamers around and give them shit.

After 200 hours of play test, with two characters in endgame. I FINALLY found my first Divine! Funny thing is, you want to know where I found it? I was helping my buddy in Cruel Act 1... I am not 100% sure, but I believe it dropped from some random trash monster in Clearfell (I'd have to ask my buddy, who witnessed it). Don't get me wrong, I was OVERJOYED to pick it up. BUT... I agree with you - loot drops are scarce, especially currency early on. I am sure they will adjust it over time.

My situation is a little different from yours though: I just entered endgame last week and I am only able to farm T1-3 maps. All of my towers have some form of irradiation, rarity, etc, plus what juiced waystones I can manage to craft, etc.

I have always felt that campaign loot was better than early endgame, particularly in Act 3 Cruel (from my personal experience). I found two greater jeweler's orbs in Cruel Act 3, several exalts, vaals, etc... Waystones as well... I haven't found much of anything early on in endgame (I know, I just got there). But you'd expect with higher monster difficulty and some juicing, the endgame loot should be better than the campaign...?

My one in a million Divine drop in Cruel Act 1 was just PURE LUCK.

Oh, I upgraded my sorc with that divine only to not like the build/playstyle (I need more currency to make it viable). AND, after having spent $250k re-spec'ing TWICE... As a casual gamer, one of my biggest issues with this EA play test model is: there is absolutely NO way I can sustain play testing after I go back to work after the holidays to justify logging in... I am NOT asking for free loot or God-tiered gear, etc. If only we had the option to respec freely to test things out more efficiently.

Because honestly, farming gold to continue testing (for me) is going to drive me away from EA (and know this, I LOVE PoE2).

Wait, Divine Orb really exists? I've never received one...

A Video Game Should Be Fun

I’ve already shared this in other feedback areas, but it’s worth repeating—a video game should be fun. There’s no sense in designing a game where 99% of the content feels unnecessarily drawn out.

Even if GGG were to simplify many aspects, it doesn’t mean the game would quickly become boring. New content will inevitably be added over time, keeping the experience fresh and engaging.

There’s no benefit in having 95% of the player base quit before the first major content update arrives. Games are meant to be enjoyable, not feel like a second job.

Just my opinion. Happy New Year!

IKR, I thought the same until after I found my first one yesterday (in Act 1 Cruel of all places). My buddy called it out before I even saw it! He also said "had you not picked it up... I was going to snatch it from you!" what are friends for... XD

The game is fun for me (at the moment). Before I log in though, I have to get into the mindset that it's EA play test and NOT full release yet (which some may forget to do). I'll have limited time whenever I go back to work after the holidays, so farming for gold to re-spec over and over again is going to get old quick. My motivation meter drops lower after each re-spec (to test out different builds).

The campaign is a tedious grind that I will probably dread repeating on each toon every season.
And, I don't particularly like the endgame (yet). Granted, I just got there last week (two characters farming T1-3's); the endgame for me seems very unrewarding and repetitive in it's current form (again, I am not optimized for MF atm and I know it will improve). And IMO, with 200 hours of playtime, loot drops (for me) were better in campaign than in early endgame. This seems odd given the endgame has higher difficulty (especially with juiced areas/maps etc).

I guess what I am trying to say is, I (still) find a lot of joy playing the game by going back into the campaign and helping friends or randoms finish their quests. Cheers

You have to stack item rarity. I've never seen a greater or perfect jeweler orb until I loaded up with rarity. Same goes with tiered rares, divines, etc...

GGG made a complete regression in design. Item rarity is a must have on all pieces of gear in PoE 2 currently.

Im at 307 hours as of now, farmed for 20 days t10-t13 with my Warbringer and i've had it enough. 0 divines. 0 gear that's worth more than 3-5 ex. What's even funnier, i had 105 rarity found and i wasnt even getting ex that much. Maybe 2-3 every 5th map.
divs are entirely too rare.
they could 4x the rate and they would still feel rare af.
Why are we focused on divines? Because they are exploding in value?

Let us be able to craft items with meaning/purpose/direction. And it definitely shouldn't require a stack of some currency that drops once every 10 hours of gameplay.

I think most people would be happier finding/making actual good pieces of gear than finding some currency they can use to go buy a piece of gear.
