Frost Wall Issues

There are too many walls of text, so I'm going to keep it short and sweet. There is never a world where my own Frost Walls should EVER box me in and prevent me from moving. When used with Fortress support, you completely encase yourself in walls, then a hag decides to spawn a drowning orb on top of you. Now you either have to bust your way out of your own Fortress or die trying. Please fix this.

Fix what? ;)
I think it's working as intended. Stop using it, if you can't deal with it.
The issue isn't Frost Walls. In POE 1 they blocked you also, but you could just run around them. The issue is the Fortress Support. You literally get stuck in your own fortress and can't dodge roll out of your own fortress. The support WOULD be a solid defensive option if it didn't cause you to kill yourself all the time. THAT I'm pretty sure is not intended.
Wow, I actually TRIED to put walls around myself to test if it was a viable defensive option, but it never spawned around me, always in some random spot. Glad to know it can be done I guess?

Things spawning wherever the hell they want to spawn is a completely different issue. Same thing happens with bells on Monk. You put your cursor on the boss and the bell spawns 20 feet away. As for Frost Walls, they spawn where they fit. Sometimes they'll box in the target, sometimes they'll box YOU in. When there's a hag around there's a near 100% chance you'll box yourself in AND somehow the walls will simultaneously push the hag outside the AOE damage zone so you have to fight for your life to not die to the drowning orb while also doing zero damage to the hag. I unsocketed Fortress. It single handedly caused me more deaths than any other mechanic in the game so far.

Your using a spell where you can choose where to place walls.

You have then ontop of that socketed a support gem so the walls are in a circle boxing you in.

And your complaining that when your using it ontop of yourself your boxed in...?

Which part isnt working as intended?

Allow me to clarify. If I TRY to make a box around my enemy to deal damage, the enemy gets pushed out of the box and the enemy escapes the damage. If I TRY to put a box on me for defense, I succeed, but then I can't get out of my own box and die because things spawn INSIDE the box and I can't get out. Seems like BOTH ends are badly designed.

As for "choosing where to place walls," it's abundantly clear you have cast that spell EXACTLY zero times, as it does not go where you place it. It goes where it fits, and this sometimes absolutely screws you. TLDR; Frost Walls wonky, Fortress completely unplayable.
