Citadel Bosses Are Overtuned

The title kind of says it all. These citadels are kind of hard to find, which they should be and I think that part of it is balanced well at the moment. But going from the rush of finding a citadel and clearing out the nearby towers and using the precursor tablets to boost up the loot and prepare for this epic battle to the swift soul-crushing feeling of all those hours of preparation being absolutely wasted and stripped away from you because of some cheesy one-shot. I'm sitting here with maxed out resistances, over 85% evasion, two different spirit defensive abilities, and for what? Getting immediately deleted for such a minor mistake combined with only having one singular attempt to perfectly execute a boss you've only seen in a far easier state twice during the campaign which was probably 40-60+ hours of gameplay ago makes the endgame far too punishing to be enjoyable.

There needs to be 2-3 attempts on these bosses since they are part of the questline for the main game. I can understand the pinnacle bosses being one attempt and the cost investment for them to obtain some of the best loot in the game. But the citadels just being ope sorry you didn't notice Doryani was about to randomly explode just strips me of feeling the reward from all the time and currency I've invested to get there. Also, players that are blasting out Tier 15+2 maps consistently should be more then strong enough to defeat these citadel bosses considering the citadel itself only requires a 15.

I do not understand this obsession with one-shot mechanics in any game. What happened to bosses hitting you for 40-85% of your health causing you to retreat, use your health flask, dodge roll etc. for a bit and regain your composure in a fun duel as you deal with mechanics not just BOOM you're gone. If a boss is sending a one-shot mechanic my way, it should be more obvious then just them barely lifting a hand or moving to the side a bit. I like difficult bosses, I do not like one-shot bosses that leave me sitting here how to even prepare for the next time I find a citadel and it makes me want to skip citadels almost entirely for the time being until I significantly over-gear the content or I go for some cheesy one-shot build to out-cheese the bosses one-shots.

In before people joke about "oh those exist?" Yes, you just look for the grey houses in the desert biomes for copper, the brown houses in the grassy biomes for iron and those grey pyramids for stone in the edges of your fog of war when visible.

Copper citadel is insane. I have 4k energy shield and 5k mana running a mind over matter build and his phase 2 auto attack 1 shot me. I realize I have my bosses ranked up but I've not completed a copper citadel and the other two are a snooze for me now.

I agree these citadel bosses being so punishing and only 1 attempt is too much.
Try turning off your atlass tree nodes that are making boss (and unique) mobs harder.

If you aren't familiar or comfortable with the fight, run your T15 white (or with only prefixes). Once you are more comfortable with the fight you can juice it.

You're basically complaining that you heavily juiced a fight and then went in blind.
