[PoE2] Loading screen game crash

Hey guys,

I'm aware of all the threads about loading screen crashes. I just wanted to report on my situation in case its of any help for the devs or if there's a possible new fix.

I have the same issue as most people: when loading into an area my CPU/GPU receive a 100% spike and the game crashes. The CPU doesn't always spike to 100% before a crash but the GPU does. It always has a 1 second 100% spike before the shutdown.



I've tried almost everything on the forum but nothing works. When I disable the 0/1 CPU core or limit the CPU to 20% performance it still crashes.

My specs:
CPU AMD Ryzen 5 5600X
GPU Nvidia GTX 1070-Ti
Storage Crucial P3 CT1000P3PSSD8 1TB NVME/SSD
RAM Corsair Vengeance RGB PRO DDR4 3600 C18 2x8GB
Motherboard MSI B550M PRO-VDH
Monitor Philips Ultrawide 346E2CUAE/00 21:9 - 3440x1440
Windows 10 - Latest patch + all drivers updated.

Welp, after 2 weeks of trying every possible fix with nothing working I found my 'solution'.

Turned out I had 3 corrupted files in my Steam install. After verifying and re-installing the files, my game worked again. Before that I had a crash on loading Hunting Grounds/Act 1 on every try.

Weird stuff.
