Why can't we pet the dog in Poe2?!

Okay, seriously, I need to get this off my chest because it’s absolutely infuriating. I’m absolutely livid about this one thing in Path of Exile 2 that is driving me CRAZY — we can’t pet the freaking dog! Why, WHY, is this a thing? This is a video game in 2024, and we're not allowed to pet the dog? I can't think of a single logical reason why this basic feature is missing!

I get that POE is all about grinding, loot, and intense action, but come on! The dog is RIGHT THERE, just standing there with that cute little tail wagging, and we can’t even interact with it in the most basic way?? Why tease us with a dog and then not let us give it a little head rub or scratch its belly? It’s a DOG! It’s literally the one thing in the game that’s supposed to bring joy, and we can’t even do the one thing that would make the game 1000x better — petting the damn dog!

It’s literally 2024 and we’re in an age where games let you pet everything from cats to dragons, and Path of Exile 2 has the nerve to act like basic interactions like this are too much to ask for? It’s such a small detail but it would have made a world of difference! I would have happily spent all my time on that dog, petting it and enjoying its company between battles. Instead, we get nothing but the cold shoulder from a dog that could have been a friend.

This isn’t even a “who cares” moment — this is about making a game feel alive. Let us pet the dog, GGG! This is a feature everyone expects in modern gaming, and I refuse to believe it’s that difficult to implement.

If anyone from GGG is listening, please fix this! Let us pet the dog. For the love of all that is holy, let us pet the dog.
