Trial of Sekhema/chaos are great as farms

But they are too much as ascendancy.

I propose the following:

Leave the final high level arenas mostly* as they are because honestly, once you are done being hardblocked on your build, they are really fun farms to tinker with if you want or don't want as your leisure.

To make it more manageable, change where the ascend points are awarded:

Points 1&2: complete one floor of Trial of the Sekhema, and grant 50% innate honour resistance to djinn coins with one floor.

Points 3&4: complete 4 rooms of trial of chaos, and remove extremely dangerous trial hazards from the pool for chaos coins with a maximum of 4 rooms (eg no corrupt pyramid, no snaring heart, no grasping vines, no impending dooms, no second or third ranks of anything other than maybe storm runes).

Points 5&6: complete either 2 floors of trial of the sekhema or 7 rooms of trial of chaos.

Points 7&8: complete either 3 floors of trial of the sekhema or 10 rooms of trial of chaos. Allow 10 room trial of chaos coins to drop between level 60 and 75, with no dropped door key and no trialmaster door at the end. Ascend alters always presented here regardless of if the trial extends farther (and this is where you change ascends by interacting with it with all ascend points unspent just like in poe1, hinthint).

Completing 4 floor trial of the sekhema or killing the trial master do not contribute to ascendancy.

*mostly means some changes, not everything has to be 1 or 0 yall

Sekhema is just too long.
You can easily condense it. Why 4 floors? Why not combine those 4 in 1?
When you're at 4, all bosses but the last are pointless. All floors are pointless but the last. Not even the debuffs are relevant, as you can easily avoid them.
Just have one floor. More debuffs, meaner rooms.

The gauntlet sucks either way and has no place in this game.
I agree that its really good as optional content but too frustrating and build reliant for mandatory content
