Well first off that last reply wasn't at you, but anyway...

I think what you may have missed in context in my facetious reply to you in particular was the idea that GGG has literally been sitting firmly on that exact slope your worried about for well over a decade, and nothing has come of it.

Implementing pets looting stuff is a great bit of quality of life, and I think you'll find that GGG going on 11 years of not converting their freemium game into a PTW nightmare (as so often happens) can reasonably be trusted to implement this neat quality of life feature without doing so in a way that necessitates payment.
