When player dies in Dark Souls anywhere, they restart from check point. Can we have it in maps?
When I die in Dark Souls, I respawn from check point to keep trying and practicing until I beat the boss. This stays true when doing Acts, but not in endgame map. Why?
So I'm here pondering why we need # of portals which is # of access to a map? If we are going to "dark souls" this game, shouldn't we have a permanent check point within the map like in Act zones? Even the PoE1 6 portals map system don't make sense in PoE2. Portal should always stays on until the next waystone is activated. If Fromsoft devs made player lose access of an entire zone due to death and have to unlock all over again, Elden Ring would never have gotten GOTY. Last bumped on Dec 29, 2024, 10:07:34 PM
