Poe 2 Preformance Issue
My PC:
Procesor: Intel Core i9 10900K RAM: 16GB Graphic: 4090 OC ROG STRIX DISK: Kingston Fury Renegade M.2 Pci-e 4.0 NVMe 2TB The game has become completely unplayable. At the beginning, the frame drops were minor and not too disruptive, but as the difficulty increased, the performance issues worsened to the point where the game is no longer enjoyable. Larger groups of enemies or events like Breaches or Mirrors are simply a lag fest, with frame rates dropping from a stable 120 FPS to as low as 10 FPS. I understand this is an Early Access game, but since it’s a paid product, there’s a certain expectation for at least a reasonably stable engine. For the past week, I’ve been tweaking frame settings and experimenting with various options to make the game playable, but nothing works. This kind of performance is simply unacceptable in this day and age. I hope these issues are prioritized and resolved soon because the current state of the game is far from satisfying. PS. Post Under this topics, if you experience same issues, thx. Last bumped on Jan 13, 2025, 5:17:02 AM

you are playing a beta, don't get me wrong...they are kinda at fault here for listening to marketing and calling it EA but it is a beta...
Maybe give them a dxdiag, maybe a clip of video to illustrate the problem Did you do any driver updates (or not do them) Ancestral Bond. It's a thing that does stuff. -Vipermagi

Steps I Have Taken:
Drivers: All drivers are up to date, including the latest NVIDIA drivers for my RTX 4090. Operating System: I’m running Windows 11 Pro with all updates installed. System Setup: I performed a clean installation of the OS just a few days ago to eliminate any potential software conflicts. Firmware: I’ve ensured the GPU firmware and other hardware components are updated. Tweaks: I’ve spent a week experimenting with different graphical settings and frame rate configurations to try and make the game playable, but nothing helps. Of course, I understand and try to be patient, knowing the developers are working on the game and its improvements. However, I firmly believe that the priority should be creating a stable and well-optimized game engine that delivers a smooth and enjoyable experience for players. Only after that foundation is solid should new content, like additional skin packs or cosmetic items, be introduced. Right now, the lack of optimization undermines the value of any new additions, as even the best extras mean little when the core gameplay is frustrating and hard to enjoy. |

This used to happen in POE1. Breaches spit out too many monsters and the CPU can't handle all of them. I suspect that is what is happening to you in POE2. There's really nothing you can do, as your CPU gets clogged by all the monsters spawning quickly. It's a coding issue on their side.

Vulkan / directx makes no difference?
7800X3d with 4070 here. Runs smooth here on vulkan with UHD resolution. Unlike Poe 1, where Vulkan performance is not good on my system, last time I tried. But only done early maps so far, so not that intense. |

Does anyone use the new ryzen 7 9800x3d? I am thinking about upgrading but when i see posts like this I dunno... I would be furious with such bad performance of the game.

Sorry its even worse Vulkan game reading forever and m,issing textures, Dx11 is 30 fps when anything shows on screen. Dx12 is better but still bad.

I am sadly leaving the game because it is unplayable for me, I will wait until they release some improved engine. Best regards. Time to apologize with another Hack and slasher.
