I tolerate after death effects, but pinnacle bosses shouldn't get to kill you after they die

After death effects are annoying, but I'm tolerating them while mapping, even after they've killed me a couple times during juiced up breach encounters...
It's a different story with endgame boss fights though. I just fought my 3rd Xesht on my account, and he still summoned the hand slam attack after I killed him, killing me before I get to pick up the breach specialization book. I feel like this kind of double knocked rarely happened in PoE1 endgame encounters, and even if it did, we aren't denied our loot because we can just take a portal in and pick them up. I can understand GGG don't want us to cheese the boss fight with 6 portals, but all that work picking up breach fragments and doing the boss fights but zero rewards because an attack from beyond the grave is not a good experience. I am hoping for a fix or a compromise sooner rather than later. Last bumped on Dec 30, 2024, 5:38:25 AM

I agree, this is incredibly infuriating. This happened to me too. RIP my breachstone which took forever to farm. Looking at the book sitting on the ground is so frustrating

In maj. Content of poe1..if it was dead its dead.. i see what you mention as an eventual bug or at least unfav. Design choice.. i cant read in a wiki or so that this is intended.
I remember from poe 1 thraxia in one league which got me after dying before ce change (blink).. i could live with it as it was intentional. Oh a unique..oh..ce. Resurrects the corpses of minions, when killed they explode after a delay dealing a percentage of their life as damage Last edited by Storylyne#1859 on Dec 30, 2024, 2:05:57 AM
