Please help me understand Giants Blood
Hey guys, can you please help me understand Giants Blood?
Sorry if this is answered somewhere else, I searched but could not find any explanation for my question. Since I saw I can have 2 hand weapons on each hand I was locked, but lately it doesn't make much sense to me. Currently lvl 71 and I've recently switched from 2x2hand mace to 2hand mace and a shield, this is due to me wanting to have some block. But then I noticed that my spells display that I deal more dmg with 1x2hand mace then 2x2hand mace. The dmg is the same with 2hand mace + shield or only 1 2hand mace. Most skills say if duo wielding both weapons will hit with 30% less dmg so for the sake of math if I have 2x2hand maces each dealing 100dmg I should deal 140dmg (70+70) and if I have only one I should deal 100dmg. Numbers you can find numbers in the screenshots in this reddit post Thank you very much in advance! Last bumped on Dec 29, 2024, 3:48:30 PM

Giant's Blood does 2 things: allow the 2h weapons to be equip in 1 hand, and triple the requirements to equip them.
The damage of the skills you use are still reliant on the weapons you use, same with dual wielding receiving a penalty to damage (which is mentioned in the skill itself). The reason your 2h dual wield setup is doing the same damage to your 2h+shield setup is most likely due to the damage mods on your weapons and/or due to the damage penalty of the skill used while dual wielding. |
