If you are 1% why should you get to dictate the game for everyone else?

The loot sucks. It sucks. I'm not using a loot filter that hides anything, only highlights some things. I look at every expert item with a high iLevel. They are all trash.

God, climbing the economic ladder? Do you hear yourself? Is this a game or a job? I play games to get AWAY from all that crap.

What am I dictating? Enlighten me with your godlike knowledge, please.
You've shown nothing except words of complaint because you haven't gotten a good item.. I guarantee you that you had them drop you just ran right by them.

Because I paid money and I can give feedback just like everyone else and I will continue to do so.

The trade economy was a big reason why POE1 never appealed to people and I hope they change tack with POE2. Basically, if you don't reach endgame by like day 2 you get left behind and are basically screwed. The same thing is happening here. If you didn't play a screen clearing build with MF you are playing a completely different game than everyone else and you will never be able to gear a character because the game doesn't drop useful items, like ever, and the prices just go up and up every day on trade.

This is untrue you can start mid league or even near the end and do well.
The economy starts to correct itself over time.. the trade economy is a major reason people play POE1. Where the hell are you getting this information? You clearly don't play POE1 that is fucking absurd.

Agreed. Every peace of gear I wear is from white base.
On Probation Any%
Oh, I stopped playing, but I'm still giving feedback. I stopped after leveling 2 characters past 90 doing T15 maps with gear from the campaign. Thought I'd switch it up and play warrior. Reached level 5 on warrior and realized that not a single warrior item had dropped. Not one mace or gear with armor. Just ES, evasion gear, and quaterstaves. I had to gamble for basic starter items because the same pattern of the game not dropping anything useful was repeating itself and once I realized that I was done. Granted, 5 levels is like the first 4 zones, but really? Like I said, at that point I was done.

I have never seen a bow with over 300 damage, let alone 500+. You are just extremely lucky or playing a broken build and are a 1%er.

Four words:
Cull bot group play.

Abuse magic find and irradiated boss maps with breaches and such...
You're right. I don't play POE1 for this very reason, among others, which the devs have tried to address with POE2. But sadly, they haven't addressed this.

You're honestly going to sit there and tell me you don't think having to log onto a completely separate website outside of the game to trade with people isn't a barrier for people trying to get into the game?

And what if they like the game so much that they manage to overcome the trade website barrier. It's their first character and they are new to the game, so it probably takes them longer to reach end game than most folks. What do you think happens when they see the outrageous prices? I'll tell you what happens. A few will stay, but many uninstall.

The market "correcting itself" midway or towards the end of the season is too little too late. New players tend not to join at the end of a league. They check out the game when a new league drops.

I'm sure a lot of POE diehards like the trade economy and that's fine. But I'd argue a wider audience would rather not deal with it at all and would prefer to actually find useful items for their character by playing the game, which is something the game currently doesn't do very well, since 80% of what drops isn't even really usable by your class and the rest of it is maliciously random.

Sad as it is, GGG has no choice but to balance the game around the 1%.

I have argued with some stupid people before the launch, who claimed that it will be "new game" that will be "newbie friendly"...

Your build is either 1% and you measure your play time in "divines per hour", or you are one of the 99% and you measure it in "exalts per hour".

It is not like the best builds are hidden from you... You have the option to play it, but so many people choose not to.

POE is a game where knowledge gets you ahead. People who play more rack up more knowledge over time, and they can get ahead of the curve. Past knowledge from POE 1 can be utilised in this game, and people are doing exactly that. This knowledge concept applies to all ARPGs and MMORPGs, heck even stuff outside of games.

You literally don't need a screen clearing MF build to earn enough currency to beat pinnacles bosses on extra difficulties in the current state of the game.

I really don't want to say it, but I'll say it anyway, play SSF if you hate the trade economy so much.

Why would I play SSF? Its not like SSF drops more/better items. If it did, I might play it, but it doesn't so why bother? The entire reason I'm complaining about the trade economy is because the entire game is balanced around it to a point where its basically forced on you if you ever want any hope of progressing at anything more than a glacial pace.
