PoE2 needs an AUCTION HOUSE (I'm willing to pay for it too...$5-10?)
Complete new player to PoE. I moved over from D4, so glad I did. I'm loving this game. So much so i even sprung for the Liberator pack, more than I've ever spent in one payment for a game. Money well spent, you guys are reactive and listen to players. I really only have 1-2 complaints about the game 3 weeks in.
1. This game needs and Auction House! This website selling is so arduous and reminds me of what Blizzard has done with D4, it outsourced it in game trading to another website (Diablotrade). I hate using that site just as much as i hate using the Poe2Trade site. 90% of people don't answer whispers, and I also don't feel like taking time out to party up to sell things that may only be worth 1 exalted orb. Id rather be out there killing stuff and having fun. I want this option so badly, id pay another $5-10 (on top of the $480 i already spent). Make it a micro-transaction add-on and Id bet 50% of the over 500k people playing would probably spend least $5 on the option too. Isn't this feature worth making for an extra million bucks or two??? 2. Get some auto sort in the inventory please, one thing I LOVE that D4 implemented. My stash tabs are a mess and involved so much wasted time moving things around. Got to be a simple coding feature.... right? Other than this... Im super happy with PoE2 and just got done with a super thrilling 3rd ascendancy. 1st attempt and a win, super stoked. Thanks to all Devs for putting in the work of this game, and the future work to come. If anyone else feels the game needs an AH, chime in. Would you pay an extra $5-10 for the feature? I hear a lot of people complain about it everyday in general chat... Last bumped on Dec 30, 2024, 7:32:36 AM

imagine wanting to pay cashdollarrealmoney to get farmed out of the market by bots.

Uses the trade site wrong, blames the trade site.
And Blizzard did nothing of the sort wtf lol. That is a third party site, good luck getting scammed there. PoE, on the other hand, has a trade API. Yeah, autosort is needed. If they don't have it in by release, they deserve all the relentless mocking they are going to get. |

yep. not having an auction house in this day and age is ludicrous. worst thing that can happen is people want to buy all your stuff while mapping, making you use up portals and potentially making you lose a waystone. could also potentially wipe you occasionally when you port back to your map cuz you forgot to kill some mobs and you're porting back and forth all the time

There are already plenty of trading bots, imagine when the game is free. Auction house is needed.. cant be botheres spending hours scrolling a website when I actually want to to play this amazing game.

" Auction house will mean there are 100x more bots, and searching it will be way worse than the website... unless they make it a website. It is funny because 99% of the people who ask for an AH complain about things that an AH will make way way worse. |

Hello no.
From my point of view Diablos RMAH showed the problems pretty fast - even without the real money involved directly. If it is too easy to get and trade any item you will: - have worthless items below max level pretty soon - extreme price-hike for higher level items - extreme influx of third parties generating real money with bots and farming - such an action house also enables players and third parties to "Play the AH" instead of the game manipulating prices etc. But whats worst: - if the best gear possible while leveling is avaliable at any given point and also easily found later on then one of the most important aspects of the game suddenly vanishes - most of the hunt for loot and excitement But some QoL changes would be nice for example: - instead of whisper requests make trading a unique menu where you can easily see interactions - add an easier way to trade items especially if ppl have a different story progress and no hideout - maybe even a dedicated trade-hub map that everyone can teleport to and back - ppl could even offer their items there in map-chat and ppl would be able to trade instantly - instead of using the group function - add a Trade-Partner system that is the same as groups but additionally " Lol it would become a nightmare with third parties, bots, real money sales outside the game and market manipulation. Also - seriously - lets imagine the best case scenario - you are able to instantly buy all the gear you want for a reasonable price - now you have everything you wanted instantly - doesnt that pretty much remove a huge part of the game? Its like deciding to paint something because you like painting - but since its faster you just buy the finished painting of someone else. You successfully defeated the purpose of the thing you wanted to do. Or just read the last 10 pages of a book and the cover-text to know the story and the end? Saves you a lot of time reading. YES!!! Auction House, Please Sir!?
The Trading Site is one of the worst aspects of POE. A giant time waister. It is already being manipulated in so many ways. The Billionaire 1% ECONOMY is a massive failure! Don't just sit there... DO SOMETHING. If you Smile at me
I will Understand, because That is something Everybody Everywhere does in the same... Language #2o2p |

" Ermh you do realize that an auction house is way easier to manipulate than the system we have now? |

There are ways to prevent the auction house being manipulated.
You can charge a gold fee for listing and buying items and increase it exponentially. Buying and selling can be tracked separately. Each time you list or buy an item you get 1 "stack". Each stack lasts 24 hours. At 0 stacks - the listing/buying fee is 100 gold At 1 stack its 1,000 gold At 2 its 10,000 gold At 3 its 100,000 gold At 4 its 1,000,000 gold and so on. These numbers are just examples but you get the idea. Botters won't be able to scoop up too many cheap items and flip them with something like this in place, since its limited by gold. This could slow down the economy, but I'm not convinced that's really a bad thing judging by how rapidly the market seems to shift. Also GGG can adjust these rates on the fly based on market conditions. Last edited by whowe1#7244 on Dec 30, 2024, 7:34:37 AM
