Full Energy shield and still losing HP

Lately i have the problem that i am losing hitpoints even when my ES is full. I thought it could be bleed, but bleed charm doesnt proc. What i know, chaos should do 2x the damage against ES and poison should be stoped by ES. Any ideas what is causing this, maybe some waystone mods i dont know?

P.S.: Sometimes my UI shows me that i have more current ES than max ES, maybe there is the connection.

There are multiple ways to overstack your ES past the maximum like the Grim Feast buff. This is not a UI bug.

As for bypassing your ES, there are also multiple ways. One of which is wearing Atziri's Disdain.

Sadly, you didn't post anything about your character so it's a complete guess.

Poison and bleed are the 2 main damage sources that pierce ES. If it wasn't bleed I suspect it was poison, even tho it is chaos damage it still pierces through.

Ok, i got it.

I put the ablation support gem in my pain offering skill and didnt realize that the "sacrifice a portion of your life" really means me and not only my minions.
